NTT Com and ChinaCache partner to promote CDN aervices
Issue Date: 2007/2/6 View: 366
Japan's NTT Communications Corp. (NTT Com) and Beijing Blue I.T. Technologies Co., Ltd. (ChinaCache), a leading content distribution network (CDN) service provider in China, will work together to promote CDN services in the global market, utilizing each other''s platforms to provide these services to potential customers starting February 9, 2007. This is the first instance of full-scale CDN commercialization between a Japanese telecommunication company and a Chinese CDN provider.

ChinaCache, a leader of China's CDN market, provides customized CDN services and solutions to customers both in China and overseas. ChinaCache has built up a solid CDN network, which effectively meets the needs of a wide range of customers locally and internationally. By working together, the two companies will take advantage of their respective network and market resources to further promote CDN services.

Demand for CDN has been expanding rapidly especially in the lead-up to the 2008 Olympic games in line with the growing trend for companies to distribute contents globally. ChinaCache can take advantage of this trend to provide services to Chinese companies in China in a good quality web environment. In addition, with the strong demand for distribution of contents between Japan and China, NTT Com expects to be able to provide smooth web-operations to Japanese companies having end-users in China.

"NTT Com views this partnership as an important initiative in expanding SCD to China,'' commented Takanobu Maeda, Vice President of the Global IP Network Sales Department at NTT Com.

"ChinaCache has shown itself to be the CDN market leader in China's fast growing Internet market, and NTT Com is very pleased to have joined hands with it. We believe this is a win-win decision that will bring great benefits to both sides in the long run," continued Maeda.
